About Me
I am Jiaqi Deng (邓嘉奇), an incoming PhD student at University of Southern California, advised by Dr. Jieyu Zhao and Dr. Xiang Ren in USC NLP Group. I received my bachelor's degree from The University of Hong Kong. Currently, I am working as the research intern of Moonshot AI. I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Tao Yu during my internship at XLANG Lab, and by Dr. Siva Reddy as a visiting researcher at Mila.
I am building general-purpose computer-use agents with scalable methods for continuous and autonomous improvement to make them robust, aligned, and generalizable. To achieve this, I have worked on projects related to improving agentic foundation models (OpenCUA), agent data synthesis (Jedi), and agent evaluation (Computer Agent Arena, OSWorld-Verified), among others.
During my time at Moonshot AI, I worked on post-training methods to enhance the agentic capabilities of the Kimi model series (Kimi K2.6, Kimi K2.5, and Kimi-VL), with core contributions to their computer-use agent capabilities.
